Appliance Repair

What the Appliance Repair pack adds, plus the two-visit diagnose-then-return model.

The Appliance Repair pack tunes Manuall for in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs across the major brands. Apply it at signup (the Trade dropdown) or anytime from Settings -> Vertical Packs.

What the pack adds

Custom fields

  • Customer (2): Brand Preference (Whirlpool/Maytag, GE, LG, Samsung, Bosch, Sub-Zero/Wolf, Viking, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Other, No Preference), Home Warranty Company.
  • Job (4): Appliance Type, Error Code Displayed, Part Ordered, Repair Outcome (Repaired, Awaiting Part, Customer Declined Quote, Recommended Replacement, Warranty Claim, Other).
  • Equipment (1): Appliance Class. No Lead or Invoice fields ship. None of the seven are required, and all of them are editable at Custom Fields.

No install-year or warranty-status field ships. The Equipment record already carries install and warranty dates, and a live claim belongs in Warranties rather than a text box.

Job templates

Fourteen, each carrying a duration the slot finder uses to size the visit. Diagnostic Visit 60 min, Microwave Repair 60, Part Install Return Visit 60, Dryer Vent Cleaning 60, Dishwasher Repair 75, Dryer Repair 75, Refrigerator Repair 90, Range / Oven Repair 90, Washer Repair 90, Install / Hookup 90, Emergency Same-Day Call 90, Annual Maintenance Visit 120, Laundry Pair Delivery and Hookup 150, Sealed-System Refrigeration Repair 180.

Required skills are pre-filled: ApplianceRepair on all fourteen, Refrigeration on the two refrigerator templates, Gas on Range / Oven Repair and Dryer Repair, EPA608 on the sealed-system template. If nobody at Team and Availability carries those tags, the slot finder gates every tech off the job.

All fourteen pre-fill billable lines. Emergency Same-Day Call pre-fills the diagnostic plus the after-hours premium, Sealed-System pre-fills the sealed-system line plus an hour of labor, and Laundry Pair pre-fills two installs and two haul-aways. Range / Oven Repair pre-fills the electric line, so swap it on a gas call. The quantities are placeholders; correct them on site before the job reaches an invoice.

Services

Twenty-five price book lines, each with all three tiers (Default, Member, Commercial) and a cost, all badged "Set your price" until you save them.

  • Service (9): Diagnostic Service Call (Appliance Repair) $95, Premium / Built-In Diagnostic $165, Dryer Vent Cleaning $145, Hourly Labor Rate (Appliance Repair) $125 per hour, After-Hours Service Premium (Appliance Repair) $145 per visit, Appliance Care Plan (Annual) $249, Appliance Tune-Up Visit (Up to Three Appliances) $189, Return Visit to Fit Ordered Part $89, Additional Appliance Diagnosed Same Visit $55.
  • Refrigerator (4): Refrigerator Repair (Standard) $295, Compressor / Sealed-System Repair $695, Ice Maker Replacement $245, Refrigerator Door Gasket Replacement $265.
  • Laundry (3): Washer Repair $295, Dryer Repair $245, Washer Drum Bearing Replacement $495.
  • Range (3): Oven / Range Repair (Electric) $245, Oven / Range Repair (Gas) $295, Cooktop Repair $245.
  • Install (4): Appliance Installation (Electric) $165, Appliance Installation (Gas) $245, Garbage Disposal Replacement (Appliance Repair) $245, Old Appliance Removal and Haul-Away $95.
  • Dishwasher (1): Dishwasher Repair $245. Microwave (1): Microwave Repair $195.

Eight are flagged for public booking and the public site: the diagnostic, dryer vent cleaning, both installations, the disposal swap, the care plan, the tune-up visit and the haul-away. Repair lines stay off, because a homeowner cannot tell you which board failed.

Prices are 2025 US national averages. Two are worth a hard look before anything else. The $95 diagnostic sets what a whole day of calls is worth, and the $695 sealed-system line only pencils out on a unit worth saving, which is most of the repair-versus-replace conversation. Premium / Built-In Diagnostic is one flat rate covering Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking and Thermador; if you hold factory authorization for one of them, that line probably deserves its own price.

Checklists

Three, shipped for you to check against your own procedure at Checklists. All fourteen job templates point at one of them.

  • Appliance: Diagnostic Visit Checklist, 19 items. Five checkbox steps, then what the visit should leave behind: model, serial and error code as text; age, supply voltage, amp draw of the suspect component, both compartment temperatures and water inlet pressure as numbers; two photos; and three picklists (suspect component test result, pre-existing damage or leak at the site, customer decision on the quote).
  • Appliance: Install Hookup Checklist, 16 items. Eight checkbox steps, then line voltage, gas supply pressure in inches WC, dryer exhaust run length and opening width, picklists for gas leak test result, exhaust duct type and test cycle result, and a photo of the finished connections.
  • Appliance: Pre-Service Safety Check, 14 items. Lock out, gas off, capacitor discharged, water off, customer told how long the unit is down. Then voltage at the terminals after disconnect, capacitor voltage after discharge, refrigerant recovered in pounds, and picklists for recovery status, gas shutoff and anti-tip bracket status before you pull a range.

Parts

Twenty truck items across six categories: Laundry Parts (8), Refrigeration Parts (6), Range Parts (3), and one each of Install Hardware, Venting and Dishwasher Parts. Cost runs $9.50 to $78 and price $29 to $179, both a national average. Stock is zero and no reorder point is set, because nothing here knows what is on your van. Count it once and set your own numbers at Parts and Inventory.

The assumptions worth checking before you order against them: the dryer belt ships as 92-1/4 in 4-rib, the heating element as a 5400W coil, the cord as 30A 4-wire, the oven bake element as 3400W two-terminal, the igniter as flat ceramic 120V, the oven sensor as 1080-ohm, and the ice maker as a modular 8-cube. That covers the Whirlpool and GE family; an LG or Samsung-heavy book wants its own numbers.

Two gaps to fill yourself: no microwave parts ship even though a microwave service and template do, and nothing here fits the premium and built-in brands the Premium / Built-In Diagnostic points at.

The bill of materials wires 27 rows to 11 services, so using the service pulls the part off stock. Exactly one is required, the modular ice maker on Ice Maker Replacement. The rest are optional on purpose: Dryer Repair carries belt, thermal fuse kit, heating element and roller kit, and Washer Repair and Refrigerator Repair (Standard) carry four each, so the tech bills whichever the fault turned out to be. Appliance Installation (Electric) carries four (dryer cord, transition duct, ice maker line, fill hoses) because that one line covers laundry, fridge and dishwasher hookups.

Seasonal pricing proposals

Three rules, all shipped switched off. The engine ignores an inactive rule, so nothing moves until you open one and turn it on at Seasonal Pricing.

  • Peak Summer, Jun 15 to Aug 31, 1.12x on Refrigerator Repair (Standard). Heat finishes off a marginal fridge, and nobody waits a week with food spoiling.
  • Holiday Cooking Rush, Nov 1 to Dec 24, 1.15x on Oven / Range Repair (Electric). The oven has to work by Thanksgiving.
  • Fall Safety Push, Sep 1 to Nov 15, 0.90x on Dryer Vent Cleaning. A discount that fills routes before heating season and turns a vent clean into dryer work.

Each rule touches one service. The holiday rule skips Oven / Range Repair (Gas), and Peak Summer skips the sealed-system and ice maker lines the same hot month drives, so extend them before you switch one on.

Preview before you apply: brand, appliance type, error code, and warranty fields plus diagnostic and per-appliance repair templates. Re-applying only adds what's missing.

The two-visit model

Appliance repair often takes two visits: diagnose and order the part, then return and fit it. The pack gives you both ends.

  • First job: Appliance: Diagnostic Visit, pre-filled with the diagnostic line.
  • Second job: Appliance: Part Install Return Visit, pre-filled with Return Visit to Fit Ordered Part. Link it back to the diagnostic in Notes.
  • Between the two, set Repair Outcome to Awaiting Part and put the number in Part Ordered, so the job says what it is waiting on instead of sitting open with no reason.
  • The customer's Equipment record carries the appliance, so the next call opens with the history.

In-warranty work

For a unit still under manufacturer or home warranty, put the administrator in Home Warranty Company on the customer and use Warranties to track the claim and its cost. Set Repair Outcome to Warranty Claim so the job does not read as a paid repair. The customer's signature on the job is your proof of completion.

Re-applying and mixing packs

Apply more than one pack from Settings -> Vertical Packs; applying a pack twice only adds what is missing, so re-apply after an update without losing an edit. Handyman and Plumbing are the common second packs for a shop already setting disposals and laundry hookups.
