Lawn Care
What the Lawn Care pack adds: mowing routes, fertilization programs, seasonal cleanup.
The Lawn Care pack tunes Manuall for mowing routes, fertilization programs, and seasonal cleanup. Apply it at signup or from Settings -> Vertical Packs.
What the pack adds
Custom fields
- Customer: Lot Size (sq ft), Primary Grass Type, Irrigation System, HOA Restrictions, Pet in Yard.
- Job: Treatment Type, Chemicals Used (list).
No equipment fields ship. Gate codes and access notes belong in the customer's built-in Access Instructions, and the applicator license number is captured per application on the pesticide checklist, so the pack does not duplicate either as a custom field.
Job templates
Fourteen, each with a duration and required skills so the slot finder can rank techs: Weekly Mow + Edge (30 min), Spring Cleanup (180), Fall Cleanup (240), Fertilization Application (45), Weed Control Pre-Emergent (45), Aeration + Overseed (90), Mulch Install / Refresh (180), Hedge / Shrub Trim (90), Sod Install (360), Grub and Insect Control Application (45), Overgrown Property First Cut (120), Storm Damage Cleanup (240), Snow Plow Route Visit (30), New Customer Property Walk (45).
The three chemical templates require an Applicator skill, Sod Install requires Sod, and Snow Plow Route Visit requires SnowPlow. Nobody on your roster carries those skills until you add them at Team, and until then those templates suggest no tech. Storm Damage Cleanup ships at Emergency priority, Snow Plow Route Visit at High, and the property walk is an Inspection job rather than a Service job.
Every template pre-fills the service lines it bills, so the job arrives priced. One to fix on day one: Weed Control (Pre-Emergent) pre-fills the Annual Lawn Care Program (6 Treatments) line, which is the whole season, not one step. If you sell pre-emergent per application, swap that line for Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control at Job Templates.
Services
Twenty-five, all badged "Set your price" until you save them: Mowing (4), Treatments (7), Maintenance (8), Seasonal (2), Materials (2), Installation (1), Snow (1). Mowing splits small, standard and large lot plus an Overgrown Lot First Cut. Treatments cover the per-step fertilization line, the 6-treatment annual program, aeration and overseeding, pre-emergent crabgrass, broadleaf weed, grub control, and a Soil Test and Turf Analysis.
Maintenance is where the lines a shop forgets to bill live: Trip Charge (No Access), Landscape Labor, Emergency or After-Hours Service Premium, and a Full-Service Lawn Maintenance Plan billed per month. Watch the units before quoting: mulch is per cubic yard, debris haul-away is per cubic yard, labor is per hour, sod is per pallet of about 450 sq ft, and the maintenance plan is per month across the season.
Ten of the twenty-five are flagged to show in public booking and on the public site. The per-hour and per-unit adders are not, because a homeowner cannot pick those off a dropdown. Change any of that per row in the Price Book.
Checklists
Three, 49 items in total, shipped for you to check against your own procedure:
- Weekly Mow Quality Check (16 items), on Weekly Mow + Edge. Height before cut, mowing direction, turf condition, and three photo slots.
- Pesticide Application Documentation (21 items), on the three chemical templates. Product and EPA registration number, rate, area, applicator license number, soil temperature, wind, calibration, posted notification signs.
- Pre-Visit Safety Check (12 items), on the cleanup, mulch, aeration, trim, sod, first-cut, storm and plow templates. Blade condition, engine hours, deck guards, trailer lights and tie-downs.
New Customer Property Walk ships without a checklist. Attach one if you want the measurements captured the same way every time. See Checklists.
Parts
Twenty-one truck items with an LC- part number, across nine categories: Turf Nutrients (4), Chemicals (6), Equipment Wear Parts (4), Seed, Soil Amendments, Bed Materials, Cleanup Supplies, Sod and Turf, Snow and Ice. Four fertilizer analyses (pre-emergent, slow-release, winterizer, starter), a three-way broadleaf, nutsedge, glyphosate, granular grub, surfactant and marking dye, plus blades, trimmer line, oils, mulch, paper bags, lime, a sod pallet and ice melt.
Cost and price are a national average, stock is zero, and no reorder point is set, because nothing here knows what is on your truck. Count it once, then set reorder points, or the low-stock alerts never fire. See Parts and Inventory.
The sizes are the common ones, not necessarily yours. The blade set is for a 60 in deck, the sod pallet is tall fescue, and the seed is a turf-type tall fescue blend. On warm-season turf you are stocking Bermuda, zoysia or St. Augustine sod and no fescue seed at all, so swap those two rows before your first sod job.
The bill of materials wires 22 rows to 13 services, so a service's Parts tab shows what the job burns. The annual program carries five lines and broadleaf weed control carries four. Four parts are wired to nothing: the 60 in blade set, glyphosate, pelletized lime and the case of two-cycle oil. Blades and oil are shop consumables rather than job materials, but wire lime to a service if you sell soil correction off a test.
Seasonal pricing proposals
Four rules, all shipped switched off. The pricing engine ignores an inactive rule, so nothing moves until you open one and turn it on at Seasonal Pricing.
| Rule | Service | Window | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spring Rush | Spring Yard Cleanup | Mar 15 to May 15 | 1.20 |
| Fall Seeding Window | Core Aeration and Overseeding | Sep 1 to Oct 31 | 1.15 |
| Peak Leaf Drop | Fall Leaf Cleanup | Oct 15 to Nov 30 | 1.20 |
| Deep Winter Storms | Driveway Snow Plowing (per push) | Dec 15 to Feb 15 | 1.20 |
These are cool-season, four-season assumptions. On Bermuda or St. Augustine the seeding window is late spring, not fall, so Fall Seeding Window is backwards. South of the leaf line and out of the snow belt, Peak Leaf Drop and Deep Winter Storms describe a season you do not have. Read the dates against your own calendar before switching one on.
The recurring model
- Weekly mow customers on a recurring job: same tech, same day of the week.
- Fertilization sold as a 4 or 6-round package wrapped in a Service Agreement.
- Customers pay monthly via a Recurring Invoice, which averages the season out. The Full-Service Lawn Maintenance Plan line is priced per month for exactly this.
Compliance to watch
- Your state pesticide applicator license, required for fertilization in most states. It is logged per application on the Pesticide Application Documentation checklist, along with product, EPA registration number, rate and area, which is what a state inspector asks for.
- Workers comp.
Re-applying and mixing packs
Apply more than one pack from Settings -> Vertical Packs; the pack only adds what's missing and never overwrites an edit you made.
